Congregational Life

MISSION
Our Congregational Life ministry is called to encourage fellowship among our Jubilee members and establish ways of encouraging and enjoying one another so that newcomers and fellow members may experience Christ’s live in very real ways. They plan special events designed to promote fellowship and interaction.

SCRIPTURE TEXT - PHILEMON 1: 4-7
AI always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers, because I hear about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints.  I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.  Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brothers and sisters, have refreshed the hearts of the saints.”

JUBILEE NIGHT
Every Wednesday, from September to the end of April, a large part of our church family gathers for dinner together.  Cooking crews prepare a meal for 100+ people on a weekly basis.  We open our evening together with prayer, enjoy a meal and disperse from there to our various programs and ministries.  Jubilee Night is truly a feat to pull off, but a blessing that has become an integral and vital part of our church family life.  God amazes us each and every year with willing volunteers and eager leaders.

CHURCH FELLOWSHIP
Following every morning service all those who attended the service are invited for refreshments in the foyer of our church.  This is a much appreciated time of fellowship.  The Congregational Life committee also arranges food and support for funerals, weddings and other church events such as the Christmas Potluck.

OPEN-DOOR LUNCHEONS
On Sunday afternoons, following the morning service, an open invitation is extended to anyone and everyone who may want to share in a meal with a number of others.  Open door luncheons are offered approximately every three weeks.

VISITOR WELCOME LUNCHEONS
Three times a year, a special invitation is extended to those guests in our midst who have begun to worship with us regularly.  They are invited for a meal in our lounge hosted by one of our care groups.  A time of fellowship and sharing of our vision follows.
