Life Groups meet for the purpose of making
1) deeper connections with God and His word,
2) stronger connections with fellow believers,
3) wider connections with our community beyond Jubilee.
LIFE GROUPS
Our Small Group ministry called Life Groups began in the fall of 2009. Before that there were some small groups that met on their own and adult education classes, but the Life Groups were our first congregation-wide endeavour. We began with 10 groups made up of 8-12 persons each, so over half our adult congregation was participating in a small group. This year the numbers are down slightly, but the majority of the groups are still going strong. Training for the group leaders is provided 2-3 times per year through staff with the Home Missions office in Burlington.
The Life groups meet every other Sunday from September through May for Bible study and topical discussions. A number of them also do service projects together and hold the occasional social night at Christmas time or before the summer break.
