To our Jubilee Fellowship Church family,

These months of Covid-quarantine and physical distancing have been a challenge for all of us. And yet, through it all we remain the body of Christ, scattered throughout St.Catharines and around the world. God’s spirit has never been confined to a building. The Church of Christ never closed – we’ve worshipped differently, and there’s been a lot in recent months to be grateful for. But we also know that many of us yearn for the day when we can worship together again as one community, under one roof.

We’re deeply thankful for the ways our staff have worked hard to keep us connected through inspiring online worship services, community videos, Zoom meetings, coffee socials & Life Group gatherings, Facebook posts & e-blasts, telephone or sidewalk pastoral visits, delivery of bulletins and service CDs to those who don’t have internet, and repainting and deep cleaning the building in preparation for when we begin to worship there again.

Currently Jubilee’s leadership team and staff are discussing plans to return to in-person worship gatherings.  We’re carefully watching the guidance that the Ontario government releases, and we’ll continue having those important conversations together to discern when, how, and what that will look like for Jubilee. When we reopen our building for communal worship, we want to do it wisely, recognizing there are factors like safety and concern for our neighbours that we must take into account.

Thank you all for your patience, for your encouragement to our staff and leadership team,  and for the ways you’ve walked with one another through this challenging season. This is a journey our whole community is walking, together.

May God continue to bless you and keep you all.
