JOY Jam (Jesus, Others, You…Jam) Our Sunday morning worship program for children (entitled JOY Jam)is held during the morning worship service. Children ages 3 up to grade 4 begin morning worship with their parents and are then dismissed from the service and gather together to sing, learn Bible stories, play games, and participate in some form of drama and art.
Children are divided into two separate groups: JOY Jam Jr. (preschoolers and JK (ages 3-5) and JOY Jam (grades SK-4). The younger group remains in one room and participates in a Bible story and singing and is then given the opportunity to explore different avenues of play to reinforce the lesson through centre time. Our older children (JOY Jam) gather together for large group worship and Bible storytelling. Afterwards, they are dismissed by groups and are guided to different workshops which they rotate through weekly. The workshops include drama, art, games and music.
It is our desire that children who participate in JOY Jam begin to understand God’s Big Story – from creation through Christ’s return and their part in God’s Big Story.
GEMS – GIRLS EVERYWHERE MEETING THE SAVIOR: GEMS is a relationship-building club program created especially for girls! Girls in grades 1-6 are invited to join us on Wednesday nights from September to May from 6:30-8:00pm at the church.
In the club, girls will:
- Enjoy dynamic singing and creative movement
- Develop important life skills through badge activities
- Learn how to apply the Bible to their personal lives
- Make fun and creative crafts
- Participate in service projects that make a difference in others’ lives
- Go on fun outings
The purpose of GEMS Girls’ Club is to help bring girls into a living, dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ. To help foster this all-important relationship between each girl and Christ, other relationships are nurtured as well – between girls and between girls and their counselors.

Cadets
Cadets is a relationship-building club program created especially for boys! Boys in grades 1-6 are invited to join us on Wednesday nights from September to May from 6:30-8:00pm at the church.
In the Cadets club, boys will:
- Engage in Bible studies where they will learn how God is a part of their daily lives
- Develop life skills through different badge activities
- Participate in different area-wide Cadet Corps activities such as the annual snow derby, cub-car races, and Cadet-a-ree
- Enjoy fun outings.
In the Cadet program, the boys are mentored by Christian men who dedicate their time and energy to leading the boys into a living relationship with Jesus. The boys develop friendships with each other and with their counselors.
